===== Fixed-width Fonts =====
Users of //Pedigree for DOS// who want to save trees and then convert them to
Word-processor documents need a suitable font that has the box-drawing characters. Such a font is not
normally installed.

Two suitable fonts have been identified: //MS Linedraw// and //Letter Line Gothic//.  The former is installed and used
by the utility program [[utilities:start#pedspecs|PedSpecs]].

Microsoft Word does not accept LineDraw for running text.  There are technical notes about this issue
at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q179422/ (for Word97) and http://support.microsoft.com/kb/291354/EN-US (for Word 2002).

The OpenOffice word-processor uses //LineDraw// quite happily.

Download the ZIP-file and unpack it into your C:\Windows\Fonts folder:
